The Ranter

The first thing that caught my eye was his bright yellow hat. Then the purple latex gloves. I got closer to get a good angle and he saw me and started ranting about the country’s state of affairs and blaming it on the black person in the White House (his words). At some point WW II came up, then some land he used to own, but lost. I just nodded and kept shooting away ….

  1. Igor, this is a departure for you, and I must say its simply excellent – I love it, and your words add to it no end. And I think the backdrop adds a lot too – that single trunk leaning towards him and, to me, focusing more attention on him – and then those towering trees in the back – which again focus attention on him I think. Very good stuff, my friend! Adrian

    • Wow … thank you so much, Adrian! This is definitely not my usual style since I normally would just try to blend in and capture candid scenes. He spotted me and started talking to me, so I tried to make the best of the situation. I thought the result was worth sharing. He was truly a character 🙂 Thank you for the nice feedback, man.

  2. I’m really glad you took this shot.

    The poor soul.

Sane or not, our species certainly spends a lot of time complaining and blaming others for our problems; rightly or wrongly. It’s a profoundly good thing that enough of us actually commit to real action to solve real problems.

What do you think? Tell me, pleeease ...
