Telecommute Wednesdays

As a recently introduced perk at work, I’ve been able to work from home every Wednesday for the past month. This is welcome relief given the hellish commutes experienced in Southern California (my route to work takes me through the most congested highway in the nation: the 405). So, instead of my usual 1+ hour teeth-grinding, hair-pulling, stop-and-go drive into work, I went for a nice and relaxing 1+ mile walk along the pedestrian trails in my neighborhood. Evidence below:

    • Yes! especially with that early morning sunlight. It appears that’s a native plant in that area, which they preserved when they built the trails 🙂

  1. Excellent, indeed a perk – ongoing or just for the month? Ongoing I hope. Bristol has nothing like the scale of S California’s traffic problems, but its still a drag getting in and out of the city centre, so I’m glad I’m retired!

Nice pictures – they speak of freshness and light and life – the opposite of commuting! 🙂

    • It will be ongoing. I hope that doesn’t change, but one can never be sure. As for the pictures, they do reflect the liveliness of the early morning around that area 🙂

What do you think? Tell me, pleeease ...
